Shipping Policy - Midwest Worms
Shipping policy
We normally ship Worms on Mondays or Tuesdays, African Nightcrawlers are always shipped out on Tuesdays, to ensure that the Worms don't needlessly sit in the shipping boxes over the weekend in a post office. Occasionally we will ship on Saturdays when temperatures are good and shipping locations are close.
It is very important to look at the tracking information you are sent and to pay close attention to when the worms will arrive. If for any reason you will not be home at the time of their arrival you must contact your local post office and have the package or packages held at the post office for you to pickup later. It only takes a few minutes in hot or cold weather to start killing the worms.
When your Worms arrive, please check them ASAP to ensure that they are in good shape. If there is something wrong please take pictures of them and the condition of the box and notify us immediately. We must be notified within the first 24 hrs of the delivery if replacement of the Worms is necessary. If possible add 6-8 oz. of water, warm water, not hot water if they are African Nightcrawlers for each pound of worms ASAP to help them recover from the stress of being shipped in a dry material until you can get them into moist bedding.
