European Nightcrawler (Eisenia hortensis) Worm Mix

The European Nightcrawler (Eisenia hortensis) Worm Mix is worm-rich with adults, babies and often rich in cocoons, but not always, and living material full of micro-organisms. They can be used to stock a new system. When a new system is stocked with this material the population in the new system tends to explode very quickly. Remember, this habitat is the material that has been their home and where they have already been thriving. There is rarely a tendency to roam as there is when stocking systems with worms bought by the pound. The shipping process is much less stressful on them when being shipped in there natural habitat. And it has been proven that younger worms and especially cocoons that have been placed in a new environment adapt much better than adult worms.  Typically there is approximately 1/2 lb of worms in the material.

All orders must be placed by Sunday at 1:00 pm to make Monday's Shipping, all orders that come in after 1:00pm Sunday will be shipped the following Monday(9 days later).

SPECIES DISCLAIMER
It is not possible to guarantee 100% pure worm species with any type of composting worm.  It is always possible for occasional roamers that leave there growing tray and get into another species tray.  There is always a chance of receiving a few “other” species in your order.  These “other” species are usually also great composters.  So far, to date, we have not received any complaints on this issue but it does happen in the worm industry occasionally even when taking many precautions.  While we raise both Red Wigglers and European Nightcrawler  worms here at our own farm, our African Nightcrawlers are raised  and are drop-shipped to you from another worm farm we have partnered with.
